Another slow-stitch project. I am not sure whether I will finish this piece with binding or frame it behind a mount.

Aside from using my sketchbooks and preparing foldbook samples for a recent workshop I led for our local art group, I have done very little painting of late.  However, I managed to finish a couple of small acrylics on paper for an exhibition earlier this month.  Still attempting to go bolder and looser - and a reminder to self to keep up the momentum!

All these sketches are from my current watercolour book (approximately 5" square), mostly using a Pilot G-tech-C4 water soluble brown pen, some with watercolour added.

Log Cabin sampler

 

Continuing my sewing explorations, I made this small crazy log cabin sampler.  I used old cotton sheeting which had been randomly painted with inks and some old shirt material, then added embroidery.  The backing was a hand-me-down and luckily blended with the pinky reds of the painted fabric.  All hand sewn.
