Inktober 21st to 28th

The two faces here were from images on the Internet.
I used coloured ballpoint pens on the Guatamalan sketch,
but these seemed to smudge easily.

Inktober (originally posted 10 October)

When I was sent my Cappuccino book from Hahnemuehle, it was suggested I might like to use it to participate in Inktober 2018 event.

Here are my first couple of pages, let's see if I can keep it up through the whole month.  For these I have used a Pigma Micron 005 pen, a Faber Castell Pitt Artist pen and a white gel pen.

PS: Somehow I managed to delete the original of this entry, so it now appears out of date order.

Inktober

A couple more Inktober drawings in the Hahnemuehle Cappuccino book.
I've already displayed this one from the Urban Sketchers
meeting last Saturday

I couldn't resist adding a touch of colour here -
Inktense pencils for the first two, acrylic ink on the rose

Urban Sketchers Swindon

After several days of reasonable to good weather, our Saturday sketching morning dawned very wet!  Luckily we were meeting in a cafe in Old Town, but as a result of our recent promotion at the Open Studios event we had over 20 people attend, including a sketcher visiting the area from Canada.

The Gustoso cafe staff were very welcoming and set up the awning and parasols for the handful of us who braved the drips and chilly conditions on their outside seating area.  Plenty of hot drinks and good food kept everyone happy.

Inside, I attempted to capture the fast moving  staff
